About

Our Mission

Reality Checkpoint empowers young adults through immersive digital experiences, critical play, and creative expression.

We offer a safe and inclusive platform to test ideas, share stories, and reimagine futures – bridging generations and driving social change through the experiences we create in public settings.

Our Vision

A world where imagination and invention join forces to lift communities, ideas, and futures.

Our Values

Radical Positivity

We champion hope, joy, and action as tools for change.

Equity by Design

We challenge unjust hierarchy through co-creation and inclusion at every step.

Civic Imagination

We empower young people to dream boldly and build their confidence to shape the systems around them.

Digital Literacy

We equip participants with the tools, skills, and critical mindset to thrive in digital spaces.

Integrity

We believe integrity means doing the right thing even when it's inconvenient. We don't partner with organisations that exploit people, data, or communities.

Truth in Collaboration

We believe truth emerges through connection. That means listening deeply, creating space for voices often left out, and valuing lived experience alongside expertise.

Our Founders

Shawna Cadence

Creative Producer, Co-Founder

Shawna works across theatre, live events, and immersive installations, shaping ambitious projects that connect strong artistic vision with rigorous technical delivery. With over twenty years in performance technologies and design leadership, she brings a deep understanding of how storytelling, systems, and audiences intersect. Her practice bridges large-scale production and community-facing work, ensuring ideas move confidently from concept to execution without losing clarity or intent.

Shawna’s work spans creative producing, projection and media systems, and inclusive facilitation, with a focus on building environments that are precise, accessible, and built to last. She is known for translating complex creative ideas into practical, high-quality experiences that partners can trust and collaborators want to be part of.

Brooke Heathcock

Technical Producer, Co-Founder

Brooke designs and builds interactive systems where digital and physical experiences meet. Specialising in XR (extended reality), game engines, and user experience, she brings a system-level approach to creative technology; thinking through how interaction, structure, and audience behaviour work together. Their practice is rooted in rapid prototyping, testing, and iteration, making complex ideas playable, responsive, and robust.

Brooke’s work spans game development, responsive installations, and experience design, with a particular strength in integrating hardware, software, and real-world interaction. She brings technical clarity, curiosity, and momentum to projects, creating frameworks that invite experimentation while remaining reliable in production environments.
